There is nothing more exhilarating than planning to see some of the world’s most iconic sights when you’re holidaying.
That’s one of the reasons why I love to travel as I’m more a “collect moments not things” kind of girl. During my trip to the States; the first time, I crossed one of them off – the Grand Canyon. With its rich tones and desert feel I certainly fell in love with this place.
While I would have loved to have experienced the Grand Canyon from the helicopter, Mother Nature had other ideas. Instead, I enjoyed the Canyon from the ground. The weather was miserable for most of our stay but we didn’t let that stop us. We were just eager to get out and see as much of the Canyon as we could for the 2 nights we were there.
Viewing this amazing sight it pulls you into a world where it feels like there is no one else but yourself. A perfect time to enjoy the moment and let your mind wander and think. Its where the world stops and it feels like time is on your side.
Our accommodation during our stay was in a cabin and I couldn’t wait for this true American experience. The cabins were cosy and the perfect size for 2 people. It was a delight to see the wildlife wondering the grounds especially the squirrels. They are just so cute!
